Joining Bury Rifle Club

It is not necessary to have any previous shooting experience or equipment to join the club.

Beginners will receive individual coaching until they can shoot correctly and safely. Experienced shooters are always available to offer further advice and coaching.

trial offer

Not sure if it's for you?

With our special offer you have nothing to lose. Arrange to have a look around the club on a Monday or Friday evening 7.30 to 9.30pm, by contacting the secretary Wayne Taylor by email or telephone him on 07825 165033 (evenings & weekends only, text anytime).

On your first visit to the club you will be shown around and meet some club members who will be happy to answer any questions. You will be given a probationary membership form to take away and complete.
When this is returned and accepted, for a nominal £5 fee you can try shooting for two visits, with all equipment including targets and ammunition supplied by the club, with absolutely no obligation to continue.

Probationary Membership

Applicants for shooting membership must normally serve a minimum three month probationary period as laid down by law.

Full Membership

At the end of the probationary period, a member must apply for transfer to the appropriate class of full membership.

A full list of costs for the various classes of membership is shown on the Costs page via the link above.

Rifles, jackets, scopes, gloves and mats are all
available for use free of charge
for as long as required.
There is no joining fee and no range fee when visiting the club.
